After the Chernobyl nuclear disaster in 1986, Pripyat was completely abandoned. The city that was never repopulated, remains unfit for human habitation. But, without the presence of humans, plants and wildlife are thriving.

Years after the catastrophe, Pripyat is a popular destination for photographers and filmmakers. One of them is Danny Cooke, British filmmaker. Armed with DJI Phantom 2 (GoPro3+), Canon 7D, dosimeter Geiger counter and lots of courage, he shot a 3 minute video titled “Postcards from Pripyat, Chernobyl”. This incredible footage will give you the chills while the drone sweeps over and inside the city.

Enjoy this powerfully good work!
